Marjorie Taylor Greene calls Trump ‘traitor’ over handling of Epstein

What did Greene accuse Trump of regarding Epstein

Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly denounced Donald Trump as a traitor for allegedly blocking the release of Jeffrey Epstein’s client files, saying the administration is protecting pedophiles, and announced she has left the MAGA movement and the Republican Party after resigning from Congress.

If there was any doubt that the rift between Marjorie Taylor Greene and President Donald Trump was final, Greene has turned Trump’s script against him.

The loud and public falling out between one of Trump’s largest supporters and the president dates back to last fall when Greene began speaking out about the administration’s handling of the Jeffery Epstein files. Greene, along with now lame duck congressman Thomas Massie, were at the forefront of Republican support for files being released as then-Attorney General Pam Bondi failed to meet their demands.

The feud escalated until Trump began to refer to the former congresswoman as “Marjorie Traitor Greene.” She later decided not to run for reelection for her U.S. House seat in Georgia, and resigned her position at the beginning of the year.

Once outside the political system in Congress, Greene became even more vocal about her disagreements with the president and his administration, calling out opposition to the war in Iran, high cost of living, taxation and more.

Now, in comments made during an appearance with Kaitlan Collins on CNN, Greene has called Trump — and anyone preventing Epstein client lists from being released — traitors.

Trump ‘protecting pedophiles and rapists,’ Greene says

Greene appeared in the CNN interview following reporting from the New York Times Magazine that accused Trump of preventing files from being released to protect himself and his acquaintances.

When asked about the reporting, Greene said the American people should consider the administration “traitors.”

“The ones who refuse to release the Epstein files want to cover up for pedophiles and rapists and all sorts of disgusting things in these files,” Greene said. “Those are the traitors to the American people and they should be ashamed of themselves.”

Collins asked Greene to clarify whether this applied to the president himself, and Greene said “I’m saying exactly that.”
